For the purpose of this topology a class B IP address of is reserved for the core WAN topology. Each of the 3 routers has 4 serial ports connections with each other using T1. For each connection a pair of IP addresses is needed for the connected ports. Also between ISP and Data Centre Router a Frame Relay connection is used, so another pair of IP addresses is needed. And finally between each of the three routers and its connected school another pair of IP addresses is needed.
So 7 subnets are needed, I'll use 3 bits for the subnet portion and the rest for hosts, and this means the netmask would be = /19 .
The WAN topology looks like in the following picture:

  1. Data Centre IP Addressing
  2. Service Centre IP Addressing
  3. Shaw Butte IP Addressing
  4. Mountain Sky IP Addressing
